Background

Legal expertise combined with transactional experience

Lana is a certified investment adviser in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a background in law — a pairing rare enough that for years she was the only investment adviser in the country holding a legal education. She has passed the judicial examination, the attorney's examination, and, in 2022, the notarial examination, alongside broker-dealer and investment adviser licences from the Securities Commission of the Federation of BiH.

She ran investment banking at Hypo Alpe Adria — later Addiko — in Sarajevo from 2011 to 2017, coordinating management of the Hypo Invest funds and carrying both the legal and the financial read on large cross-border investment projects: due diligence, tender offers and squeeze-outs, corporate governance, and portfolio work for clients holding assets of more than €100 million at the bank. Before that she directed the bank's brokerage subsidiary on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange, and before that built its custody desk and internal control framework from nothing.

On the Adria Project she was the key person on the EBRD side of the bank's change of ownership and the lead M&A adviser through it — running legal due diligence, preparing the takeover documentation, and acting as the contact point for Hypo's Klagenfurt head office toward the bidder. She also led the preparation and sale of Hypo Invest.

Since 2017 her work has sat inside one of the most heavily regulated industries there is, the pharma industry. At Bosnalijek she was Assistant to the General Director, responsible for every legal question in the company and for strategic support to the chief executive — including acting as lead negotiator in high-value arbitration before the Vienna International Arbitral Centre. She has also run the company's corporate communications and human resources functions, served as general manager of its Zagreb subsidiary, and has been general manager of BL Pharma Deutschland since 2018. In 2026 she moved to adviser to the chief executive, with a mandate covering Turkey and the EU.

She sat on the audit committee of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2015 and of Bosnalijek from 2016 to 2017, and since 2025 has been a sitting arbitrator of the Arbitration Court at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
